08 FG2 Recommendations

Postby 92hatchsi » February 6th, 2010, 11:05 am

Hopefully Jeff can comment on this. He's been a great help to me with things on here in the past. I'm looking around for parts for my 08 si coupe which i love to drive. Warranty will be out soon enough and I will be buying parts. I plan on buying some sort of intake whether it be cold air or short ram im not sure yet. My real question is about exhaust on the k series. This is my first k series powered car and from what ive found 3 inch is the way to go. It seems like all the aftermarket companys are only offering 2.5inch systems etc. If im gonna spend the money on exhaust I want it to be the last one I'm going to buy. Obviously with the release of flashpro that will be the way I'll go as far as tuning. Header is another thing I could use some input on as well as far as brands and if i should get a header with a cat delete etc etc. anyone who knows k series feel free to give me some ideas. thanks.

Cold air intakes make the best power on the FG2's. Go PWR or Full Race make a 3" cat-back exhaust, both are really nice. Kidd racing makes a nice cat-delete race header that is reasonably priced as well. I would recommend doing the P2R throttle body spacer mod as well. Those mods with a FlashPro tune should yield 210-215 whp from what i have seen.

I had no idea that full race made exhausts for the new si. I just checked them out and that might be the way i'll go. Thanks again.
